Letchworth State Park Posters

Two posters that showcase Letchworth State Park, located about an hour south of Rochester, NY showcasing some points of interests and history in the area that works together in a system.
Task/Objective
The task was to create two posters of Letchworth State Park that showcases points of interest and history within the park. My goal was to provide information to not only people who may have already visited the park previously, but also have people unfamiliar with the park be provided information that could encourage them to visit the park. The posters can also be designed for usage as a park sign or poster for a visitor center.
Research and Development
Some photos I took while in Letchworth doing research. I also took pictures of the information kiosks to help me with gathering history. I also used online and book sources to gather images and other information.

Early sketches of the posters. I knew at the start one poster would feature a map, but the timeline would be changed throughout the project.

The two typefaces that I used for the project, Interstate for headings and Neuzeit Grotesk for body text.

Dark Versions
As a personal challenge, I decided to create an alternative, darkened color variant of the Letchworth posters that works against a black background. With some color changes, the content really pops out.
